My text on the TurboCAD-forum.

Hallo.

I am working a lot with maps, and I got a map from my municipal. However the nodes are so tight.
Did anyone know how to simplify a contur-path.
See what I mean in this gif-picture.

I have just gotten the Solid Modeler, and I think this is a fantastic good plugin for TurboCAD.
I have only tried it for some hours, and it looks to me that coresponding program in Norway will cost
about 3-5000 dollars. - You should try this plugin.

I have experience with several other CAD programs like AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Inventor, and I must
say that I am glad I finally ended up with TurboCAD. I hope many programdevelopers like Jerry Simington,
in the future, will continue to make good plugins for TurboCAD.

My first Surface Modeling test can you see here.
If anyone wants to try to make a model of my map you can get it here. (kai.tcw 368kb).
NB! In Europe we use the metric in WGS84 system.

Next week I will try to measure about 1-200 points with GPS, and then make a model with the Surface Modeler.
Does anyone in this forum have experience with this, I would love to hear from you.

I just marked the contours, and pushed the Create Surface button, and after some seconds I get this model.
It is actually amusing to fly over and through the terrain, and I think this can be useful for me when I later will place houses and so on.
Has anyone in this forum experience with mass calculation from a terrainmodel?
